Kenjo Imari
[Noun] Imari ware produced during the Kanbun era (1661-1673) of the Edo period, when Date-ko of the Sendai domain ordered potter Tsuji Ki'emon of Hizen Arita to create it as a tribute to the Imperial family. Since then, it became a tradition for the Nabeshima family to present it. Furthermore, superior pieces are especially called Kenjo-te.
