This is a Junk Journal, Prayer notebook.

This Christian-themed journal was created using the Golden Prayer kit by @sampooledesigns.

The subdued color palette, featuring illustrations of a praying Virgin Mary, the Madonna and Child, and angels, evokes a devout atmosphere.

The design incorporates elements inspired by Canivet (small French devotional prints, often with delicate, lace-like borders), enveloping you in a quiet, serene world as if you were in a deserted church.

The Canivet used this time has discoloration, but its delicate, lace-like craftsmanship is incredibly intricate and finished with a unique, unrepeatable handwork.
It has Lord, we offer you our hearts written in French on the front and a prayer on the back. Because it is so delicate, intact examples are rare. This one has a chipped corner but has been kept in its original bag since purchase.

18x11 cm

The cover is collaged with fabric from around 1900, vintage and antique lace, based on the Madonna and Child by 15th-century Italian painter Niccolò Rondinelli, and fastened with shell buttons.

In addition to tags collaged with antique and vintage lace, it includes a vintage French envelope, pages from a Missal prayer book, pages from French agendas from 1936 and 1944, lace samples, a French holy card for First Communion, French documents from the mid-1900s, used Christmas stamps, a handmade charm with bead embroidery, a handmade scapular with a medal (a type of amulet worn by believers today), slides of the Holy Family and Saint Catherine by Italian painter Cesare da Sesto, Italian holy cards, a holy card of Saint Joan of Arc and Jesus, and a postcard of the Saint-Loup chapel in Brittany, France, from the early 1900s.

We kindly ask for your understanding regarding handmade items and old paper.

Please feel free to ask any questions.

Thank you for reading. We hope for a good connection.
