Product Description
R.E. DIETZ, founded in 1840 in Brooklyn, New York, by Robert Edwin Dietz, then 22 years old, as a lighting equipment manufacturer.
Since its founding to the present day, the company has continued to manufacture oil lanterns known as hurricane lanterns.
The D80 Blizzard is a large, impressive lantern, hailed as the King of Cold Blast Lanterns.
It is a full-size model of the same type as the D20 Junior, offering superior brightness and longer burn time.
The burner is the only one among large Dietz lanterns to use a rising cone type, making wick trimming and ignition easy.
With a 7-line wick, it emits light equivalent to a 15W light bulb.
