Wooden instruments gain a more profound tone and value with age.

Photos with people are for atmosphere and show Ngoni or Bolon, not Kora.

This is a vintage item, so please refrain from purchasing if you are looking for perfection.
While playing and enjoying it,

This is a traditional West African instrument, the Kora.
Made in 1996. It has an overwhelming vintage aura, but...
As you can see, the previous owner, FUKUNAGA, made quite a statement (lol).
I love the sound and history of this instrument, but I just couldn't overcome the intensity of the writing, so I've decided to banish it (list it for sale).

[The Charm of This Instrument]
In ancient times, only hereditary griots (whose lineage continues today) would play and sing as the king slept, using it as a lullaby to pass down legends and lessons from a time without writing.
According to a griot's tale,
There's a wonderful story that says, Those who fall asleep listening to the Kora's melody have royal blood. I too drift off to dreamland when I hear it... (lol)

There are some age-related cracks in the leather (replacing it is simple, just get new leather and tack it on), but the instrument's tension is maintained, and the calabash is in good condition, preserving its delicate overtones.

It also makes a striking decorative craft piece for your interior.

[Recommended For!]
• Anyone named Fukunaga nationwide (it will instantly become your own instrument!)
• Those with a broad mind who don't care about names.
• Brave souls who will paint over FUKUNAGA to overwrite it!

Koras of this size (130cm height) are rarely available.
For those who can fully embrace Mr. Fukunaga's sentiments,
Or for those who can rescue him from the room,

As this is a vintage item, there are scratches and signs of age-related deterioration, but it's also suitable for those who are serious about playing.
There is one original goat-skin string, but it is broken.
It's not difficult to repair, but I don't have the materials here at the moment.

I look forward to hearing from you!
