Pair of Authentic Republic Of China Vintage Chinese Cinnabar Lacquer Vases.

Featuring a beautiful, pair of Chinese carved red cinnabar lacquer cabinet vases. These delicate pieces feature an ornate, heavy brass core coated in numerous layers of traditional crimson lacquer, deeply hand-carved with high-relief floral motifs. The interior neck and the underside of the bases are finished in a vibrant, smooth turquoise-blue enamel over the heavy underlying brass structure. The blue enamel bases are entirely plain and unmarked, pointing to early-to-mid 20th-century production (consistent with the Republic of China period up through early mid-century export). The exposed brass rims exhibit a natural, authentic aged patina. No condition issues. 5.25” in height. Guaranteed vintage; these were inherited from my grandmother and have a known family history.
